Liverpool finds a new star every season

Mohamed Salah is Liverpool’s star of the season in 2017/18

Liverpool FC continuously tries to improve their side to win their first Premier League title. The 18 time league winner hasn’t won the league since league takes a new shape in English Premier League in 1992. They have been considered as challengers every season since then, and have come close to winning title some of the occasions, but they failed to lift England’s club football most prestigious silverware. They attempted their best making signing of the year and find a new star every season.

It was Luis Suarez in 2013/14 season, Philippe Coutinho since 2014/15 season, Adam Lallana in 2015/16, Sadio Mane in 2016/17, and Mohamed Salah – the new arrival of 2017/18 season. Salah – The Egyptian Messi has adapted very well to the life at Anfield.

Salah has scored 12 goals in 17 games since his arrival at Liverpool. He has been instrumental in every game, whether it’s home or away. The right winger arrived for €35 million in summer from AS Roma considered as gamble with his poor stint at Chelsea in Premier League, but he makes his impression on Anfield crowd from the very first game.

He started off with his Premier League debut against Watford. Liverpool played a 3-3 draw in season opener and it was Salah with his goal and an assist was savior for the team. Egyptian was in fine touch against Arsenal as he provides another assist and a goal in the Premier League. He never looked back since then and scored 7 Premier League goals in 11 appearances.

Liverpool finds savior in Salah most of the time this season. He has scored four Uefa Champions League goals in four appearances as well and not to forget the goal against Hoffenheim in in play-off game. He has been voted Liverpool’s player of the month every time since August.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was convinced by his scouts to finalize on the name of Salah out of 20 players. Klopp said in an interview, “We were sure he could help us. Michael Edwards, Dave Fallows and Barry [Hunter], they were really into my ear and were on it: ‘come on, come on, Mo Salah is the solution!’’’, This is Anfield reports.

He adds, “When you have 20 players on the table, different players, it’s difficult to make an early decision. But we all were convinced about it so could make the early decision so we could really get him. He is a fantastic person, a nice lad and a really good football player.”

Liverpool fans have found a new hero in Salah. They may not be ready for Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona, but they may find a solace in Egyptian Messi’s presence at Anfield.
