Arsenal should have capitalized on their home advantage at Emirates Stadium, but they lose ground against Jose Morinho’s Manchester United side. Manchester United enjoyed the evening at Emirates as they punishes Gunners early defensive errors to set the game for themselves. Jese Lingaard double and Antonio Valencia opener proved enough for Red Devils to dismantle the home side 3-1 to cut the gap at top to five points before going into Manchester derby.
Antonio Valencia gave an early lead to United in 4th minute when he pounced on a loose Laurent Koscielny pass. Arsenal didn’t overcome the damage and Lingaard robbed Shokdran Mustafi to make it 2-0 for the visitors.

Arsenal had have their chances in first-half as well, but David de Gea enjoyed a great night in his goalkeeping gloves. Alexandre Lacazette and Granit Xhaka hit the post to continue Arsenal’s misery, whereas Hector Bellerin and Sead Kosinac was denied by De Gea.
Lacazette did find a goal for Arsenal in second-half starting minutes, but Lingaard once again brutally was on counter-attack. He was denied by post before finally managing to score his double of the night tapping in from Paul Pogba’s good work.
Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette was denied by De Gea before Manchester United finishes the things off. Pogba was sent off in 74th minute and Arsenal had good enough time to make things even, but Gunners didn’t fancy their chances.
De Gea good performances came lively in last fifteen minutes and he rescued Manchester United with grabbing all three points away from home. Manchester United will play against Manchester City in Manchester derby next week to prove their credentials in Premier League title race. Arsenal dropped to fifth place after the defeat, whereas Liverpool finds themselves in the top four with their 5-1 victory over Brighton.
