It’s very rare to watch two big matches on the same day in the same league, but Premier League super Sunday made that wait over. This Sunday on 5th Nov, Premier League will present two classic fixtures: Manchester City vs Arsenal and Chelsea vs Manchester United.

Out of top six, five of them will be in action on Sunday. Tottenham Hotspur will first host Crystal Palace, then Manchester City will play Arsenal at Etihad Stadium and then Manchester United will pay a visit to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.

Hotspur won’t grab much attention on Sunday despite playing at Wembley, because two of the classic matches will be played on Sunday to grab football followers’ attentions. Arsenal will be looking to break Manchester City unbeaten run, whereas Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United would love to register their victory at Stamford Bridge since former Chelsea manager has joined the Old Trafford based club.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side is five points ahead on points table to its nearest competitor Manchester United. And if Arsene Wnger’s Arsenal side put a good fight, it will help the Premier League table look more competitive. Chelsea and Arsenal shares the same points (19 points) sitting respectively at 4th & 5th, and a victory for both sides will help them leap forward on points table.

Gunners failed to register a victory against Citizens last season playing a 2-2 draw at home and losing 2-1 at Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Arsene Wenger would love to register a victory against the in-form Pep Guardiola’s side, although City is flourishing under him during second season in-charge. But Citizens need to be little careful, because Arsenal have enjoyed a very good spell against them after their 6-3 loss during 2013/14 season. Out of eight Premier League games played over four seasons, Gunners have enjoyed four victories, three draws and only one defeat.

Manchester United also have the same story against Chelsea in recent times as City has against Arsenal. Jose Mourinho side did enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford last season, but before that they do suffered 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge which cost them FA Cup exit and a 4-0 bitter loss as Blues’ welcome their former boss at the club. United enjoyed their 2-0 victory over Chelsea after eight Premier League games last season, before that Chelsea has managed four victories and four draws.

Premier League super Sunday classic clashes came too early, but both of the fixtures have a historic importance.
